SUN PROTECTOR
Summer brings nice things and the not so nice things with it. The nice things are the ice creams, the popsicles, the swimming pool, the beach, the ocean, the summer vacations, the surfing, and the sand-castles just to name a few. The not so nice things are the sun tans, the sun burns, wrinkling skin, the heat, and the sweat. Had it not been for the protection that we humans have come up with to enjoy the summers as pleasantly as possible, all of us would be suffering from skin cancer. Skin cancer is caused due to the over exposure of the skin to the harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun. Now days due to global warming, our climates have taken a turn for the worse. Hence, it becomes more of a priority to protect ourselves from the harmful sun rays.
Protection from the Sun…
Your children are at a greater risk if they are not in sun protective clothing or refrain from using sun protection products. Their skin is more sensitive than any adult’s skin and need extra care.
Sun Protective Clothing for Kids…
There’s no doubt that your kids will want to go swimming during summers. The chlorine water in the swimming pools is bad enough for sensitive skin but imagine going in the ocean in the middle of the afternoon. The sun is very harsh during the afternoons and people are actually advised to avoid going out between eleven in the morning to four in the evening just to protect themselves from the sun rays. Your kids also would not like sitting at home and not doing anything at all during their summer breaks. They would prefer going out and playing with their friends and neighbours, taking a dip in the pool or heading out to the beach. In this case, you need to ensure that they are dressed appropriately. While swimming you need to ensure that they are in sun protective swimwear and have applied a considerable amount of sunscreen lotion. While playing too, you can ensure that they are wearing caps or hats and sunscreen lotions.
Sun Protection for You…
Not only your kids, but you also need to take care of yourself during the harsh months of summer. If you haven’t already, you too can invest in a good pair of sunglasses, sunscreen lotions, summer wear, nice sun hats or caps to keep away as much heat as possible. Drinking a lot of water also helps a lot during the unbearable summer heat.
